LAHORE: Jamat-e-Islami (JI) Chief Siraj-ul-Haq, on Tuesday, announced that if the government fails to carry on the merger of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) then his party would stage a sit-in in Islamabad.
While attending a long march held in Islamabad, he said that the people of FATA want the merger and demand the abolishment of Frontier Crimes Regulations (FCR).
He further said that if the government fails to go ahead with the FATA merger, JI would stage a protest in Islamabad on December 31.
Earlier today the opposition walked out of a National Assembly session when the government failed to table the FATA reforms bill.
