LAKKI MARWAT: Five people were killed and two others injured when gunmen ambushed a car near Bakhmal Ahmed Zai in Lakki Marwat district of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, on Monday.
The deadly ambush took place in the jurisdiction of Tajori police station. An assistant sub inspector identified the gunmen as Shahid and Naveed who were riding a motorcycle.
“They opened indiscriminate fire when the car approached,” he said. “Five people were killed on the spot and another two, the driver and a passerby, were injured.”
According to local residents, the victims were related to the former personal assistant of Ayesha Gulalai, former lawmaker of Imran Khan’s Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf.
