LAHORE: A 10-year development project for Balochistan was announced by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi on Tuesday.
The project aims to develop Balochistan using the resources available in order to bring it head to head with the other provinces of Pakistan. To accomplish this, the authorities will work to provide electricity, gas and educational facilities to all union councils in the province.
The financing for the project will come from the federal and provincial government with each contributing 50 percent.
PM Abbasi also announced that 11 liquefied natural gas (LNG) plants will be installed in the province which will cost Rs 200 million.
He also said that the Shia pilgrims who travel to Iran through Balochistan will be given all facilities at Pak-Iran border.
