MIRPUR: Azad Jammu and Kashmir Chief Election Commissioner Justice Ghulam Mustafa Mughal on Monday suspended Deputy Commissioner Sardar Tahir Mahmood and Haveli District Superintendent of Police Yasin Baig from services over dereliction of duties. The chief election commissioner said that Abdul Hamid Mughal and Muhammad Musa Khan had been ordered to take charge as deputy commissioner and Haveli district superintendent of police, respectively, replacing the removed officers. Talking to reporters the chief election commissioner said that a preliminary report about the tragic incident had been received. “Stringent action is being initiated in the light of the inquiry report against the perpetrators and others involved in the tragic episode”, the CEC said.
