SUKHEKHI: At least 16 people were killed and more than 30 sustained severe wounds as cars crashed into each other at Sukhekhi Interchange on Thursday.
According to initial details, dense smog near Sukhekhi area dropped the visibility to zero – resulting in collision between 12 cars. Rescue and police personnel arrived at the scene and shifted the injured to Pindi Bhattian Hospital.
Punjab Governor Malik Rafiaque Rejwana and Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif have expressed deep sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the incident.
Separately in Faisalabad, a car crash left two passengers dead and five people injured. The victims were shifted to the Allied Hospital for further medical assistance.
